Janice recently celebrated her one-year anniversary with Home Instead Senior Care, and what a year it’s been! During that time Janice has thrown herself into our training opportunities, graduating from the Personal Care course and participating in the Alzheimer’s Disease and Other Dementias training to increase her skill set.
Janice Takes the Lead by bringing an impressive level of creativity and thoughtfulness to her clients. Whether it’s calling the office to ask permission to bring her cell phone to a shift so that she can share her client’s favorite Polka song on YouTube that she hadn’t heard in decades, or bringing a client to the carousel so that she could relive happy memories of her time at the Spring Fair as a young girl, Janice always goes the extra mile to build special moments with her clients.
Janice herself knows the essence of being an exemplary Home Instead Senior Care CAREGiver: “Being a CAREGiver means not just providing a service or fulfilling a need. It’s patiently listening to a mother’s stories about her children or a veteran’s recollections about his glory days fighting for our country. It’s gently holding a hand when someone with dementia is afraid or confused. It’s reassuring a loved one that someone who genuinely cares is providing companionship to their parent.”
Thank you Janice for choosing to share your talents with Home Instead Senior Care!
